The Hershey Company partnered with WFM to reinvent their informal gift offerings in the “Travel Retail” channel. This initiative was led primarily by sales through airport duty-free shops as well as other travel and tourist locations. These travel themed boxes of top selling iconic brands were developed exclusively for this channel to surprise and delight shoppers. The boxed format was sized to fit conveniently into carry-on luggage, serve as a canvas to share the excitement of travel, and help visitors bring some of America’s favorite treats home.

Sharing Chocolate Across the World

The line originally launched in 2016 and helped Hershey grow in the duty-free channel. In 2019, the competitive landscape had evolved and the opportunity for a cost saving structure allowed Hershey and WFM to team up again to refresh the design strategy and generate excitement. Travel and luggage motifs and playful Hershey-ized destination icons help the iconic American brands stand out from the crowd in a new way. Next stop, Hershey’s!
